About me Kelli K.
I love animals, and dogs in particular. I grew up with my family dog from the age of 5 all the way through my Freshman year of college. He was a smart and friendly American Eskimo named Spike. Since then I have longed for a dog of my own, but don't have the money or time commitment for one just yet. However, I have watched and cared for a handful of pets in the meantime. I visited a neighbor's house for years to take care of their cats whenever they were away on vacation. I also stayed in my previous landlord's apartment for a week to care for their two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels (which, of course, included walking them). I have also had to mix medicine with food for both cats and dogs, and I had to give my own family dog insulin shots in his later years, due to diabetes. Seeing any kind of dog while I'm walking outside in the city makes my day better, and I would be happy to have the privilege to care for someone else's pet...
