About me Lauren S.
Hi, I'm Lauren. I'm driven, empathetic and your dog's next best friend. Dogs are incredibly sensitive to us and our needs. I became a pet sitter because I want to help dogs and their owners when they are away. I understand how hard it is to leave your dog due to the bond I have with my own dog, Tessa and want to provide you with the comfort necessary to enjoy your time away without worries or concerns. You and your dog will love me because I'm experienced. First, I've never been without a dog in my life. I helped raise and train my mother's Service Dog and trained my now retired Service Dog, Tessa. I read up constantly about canine psychology and training methods. I'm beginning my Pre-Veterinary Bachelors Degree. After graduation, I'll be going to Veterinary School, and will specialize in Behavior, which is the animal equivalent of a Psychiatrist, and Surgery. My career goal is to work with and help Police and Military Working Dogs suffering from PTSD or any other behavioral or health issue, in addition to any civilian's furry family member. If at any time an incident of any kind occurs, I'd resolve the issue and make the situation safe again, then immediately call you and be extremely open, honest, transparent, and detailed about what occurred and what I did when it happened, what the current situation is, and ask what you want me to do. If the incident was because of something I did, I'd be just as transparent as with any other situation. I'd love to do the following things if and when you need them: -Daytime and Overnight Pet Sitting -Check-ins -Walks -Basic Obedience Training-I'm currently under the guidance of a very experienced and qualified Service Dog Trainer (Ask to see my reference from Karley for details), as a long-distance apprentice to help get ready for when I train my next Service Dog. I can aid in training the tasks your dog would learn in Basic Obedience Classes, as well as minor Behavior issues, as an example, leash pulling. Before I start working with your dog, I'll talk to her and make sure I have a good plan for the training written out, and any part that I become unsure of or want to make sure it's being done right, I will consult her immediately. With your permission, I'd also make videos of what I'm discussing with her about so she will be able to give better input so that I'll be able to help your dog as much as possible. My classes are all online, so I'm always available!
