I currently have 4 cats (2 are still kittens), who I rescued (three from the street and the other was abandoned as a small kitten in a laundry room). I grew up with dogs and have had cats for many years. I take good care of my pets, as well as others' pets. I become attached to them in the process. I always loved animals, since childhood, and have done my share of rescue of cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, a ferret, some domestic and wild birds, a hen, mice. I advocate for animals, as well as don't eat or wear animals or use products tested on animals. I enjoy pets' company, and find it satisfying to give them their exercise and take care of their needs while their guardians are away. I am reliable, trustworthy and honest; I have many good reviews. The pets are glad I stayed with them. I keep your home cleaner than when you left it. I can medicate (topical or oral), and groom your pet (brushing, trim nails, clean ears, bathe, dematting). I have some experience with minor wound care, and administering subcutaneous fluids. When my own cats were/are sick and/or aging, I give them homeopathic gentle treatment and supplements, and whatever care they need, to help them feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible. I provide a quiet, safe, loving place for them to freely live their lives. I have experience with young puppies to senior dogs, dogs of varied sizes and breeds, even ill dogs. I carried Meiko up and down the steps of his building because he couldn't. I have been professionally walking and pet-sitting for four years now, in different situations, some after surgery, in my home (can no longer) and in their home. I've taken dogs to the vet, to rehab or boarding or groomer. I play with them in the home or out in the park/dog run. I take dogs on varied walk routes to make it interesting for them. When sitting cats, I clean the litter box (thoroughly), play with them, talk to them - I don't just come to feed cats and leave; cats are sensitive and need companionship as well as dogs. I have a knack with shy pets - for example, when informed that a cat won't come out of hiding when I sit for him (or her), most in fact do and even let me pet them and play with them. I do basic training with dogs, such as not pulling on the leash. On one dogsitting job, I took Aiden, a small dog, to Van Cortlandt Park on public trans, where they have a great dog run, and horses, and trails in the woods. Needless to say, he liked it. I would just like to know if your dog is aggressive in any way - food aggression, or toy aggression, or with other dogs or cats. And anything else I should know to make the stay a good one. Of course, any medical or health-related issues, as well as house-training or incontinence, and whether the dog is spayed/neutered.
